Alcoholism is a chronic disease that makes your body dependent on alcohol, this can make you unable to control your drinking consumption to the extent that it interferes with physical, social, mental and health problem. When above problems occur, it is the time to contact doctor/counselor to discuss the problem and determine what the best treatment for it. The great difficulty lies in the fact that denial plays a large part in alcoholism. Consequently, alcoholics rarely seek professional help voluntarily.
